Jean de Florette

In this film a hunchback moves into town and gets tortured to death. His daughter then raises goats, plugs up the town's spring, unplugs the town spring, then gets pregnant. There is also a boy who likes the girl but she doesnt like him so he sews a ribbon to himself and comits suicide. Then it turns out that one of the men who tortured the hunchback to death was his father. He wrote a letter to the goat herder explaining this and then died.
